James is the choreographer for the World Premier Production of the New Musical THE PILOT and THE LITTLE PRINCE- Cyber Musical 

​

James has conceived and written a huge Las Vegas Pop Culture Spectacular with legendary designer BOB MACKIE

 

James Directed  THE PRODUCERS at the ORB Theatre TOKYO. He Directed and Choreographed BIG FISH at Hope Repertory Theatre and THE FULL MONTY at The Skylight Music Theatre, PEG O' MY HEART THE MUSICAL,  at the June Havoc Theatre NYC, which won the MITF Best Musical Award.

 

James Choreographed the musicals THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD and OLIVER! at the historic Goodspeed Opera House (Best Choreography Nomination BroadwayWorld) and ANNIE at North Carolina Theatre Raleigh starring Tony Award Winner Karen Ziemba as Miss Hannigan.​

He Choreographed the feature film "HUMOR ME" written by Sam Hoffman, starring Elliot Gould with Jemaine Clement and Annie Potts and Bebe Neuwirth

​

James is Broadway Asia's Tour Choreographer for the International Tour of "THE SOUND OF MUSIC" and was recently in California staging YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN the Musical at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts starring Sally Struthers.​

James staged the Emmy Award Winning :  

MEL BROOKS – AFI LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD TELEVISION SPECIAL at the Dolby Theatre Hollywood, televised on TCM and TNT and choreographed a K-POP number on the last season of MADAM SECRETARY (CBS) working with director Leslie Libman

James was thrilled to choreograph the opening number for New York City Ballet Principle Dancer Tiler Peck and Catfish, DWTS finalist Nev Schulman at Lincoln Center's Dance Against Cancer Gala 2021 and  New York City Ballet Principle Dancer Maria Kowroski and Nev Schulman for Dance Against Cancer Gala 2022 at Alice Tully Hall

He also choreographed a short jazz number for TV Host Amanda Kloots (The Talk, DWTS) filmed on the famous NYC street LOT at CBS Studios, Hollywood

​

James staged for film the gangster tap number Tain't Nobody's Biz-ness for the American Dance Machine for the 21st Century honoring Susan Stroman and the Late Nick Cordero

​

Director and or Choreographer of US National tours, Tokyo, Ogunquit Playhouse productions of MEL BROOKS YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN THE MUSICAL

James has worked closely with TOHO inc in Tokyo recreating choreography for their original productions of THE PRODUCERS and BULLETS OVER BROADWAY

 

James was the Associate Choreographer / Resident for 

PRINCE OF BROADWAY directed by Hal Prince and Susan Stroman with music supervision from Jason Robert Brown in TOKYO and at the MTC Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on Broadway

 

Resident Director/Choreographer and Associate Choreographer for Woody Allen and Susan Stroman's BULLETS OVER BROADWAY at the St. James Theatre on Broadway

 

He is also the Resident Choreographer on THE LAST TWO PEOPLE ON EARTH: AN APOCALYPTIC VAUDEVILLE  starring Mandy Patinkin and Taylor Mac.

Associate Choreographer for the Broadway and Madison Square Garden productions of Tony, Grammy and Oscar winning composing team Pask and Paul's A CHRISTMAS STORY THE MUSICAL

 

James has overseen performances of BULLETS OVER BROADWAY and A CHRISTMAS STORY THE MUSICAL on The Tony Awards as well as The View, Good Morning America, The Today Show

Associate Choreographer  for the New York Philharmonic Orchestra production of CAROUSEL, starring Kelli O'Hara, Nathan Gunn and the New York City Ballet Principle dancers Tyler Peck and Robbie Fairchild , televised on PBS.

  • THE PRODUCERS THE MUSICAL –  Broadway company, Original London company, and the Movie Musical version also

  • THE ROYAL VARIETY PERFORMANCE  in the presence of HRH Prince Charles ,as "Carmen Ghia" with Nathan Lane and the Original London Company televised on BBC. 

  • YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN THE MUSICAL, original Broadway company, understudied and performed the role of "Igor."

James is the founder and creative director of AUDITION TRUTH, a vocal and dance/movement workshop which helps prepare musical theater performers for the high-pressure world of Broadway. James has taught AUDITION TRUTH a Broadway intensive workshop in the UK and NYC and across America to performers of all ages 

​

He has also taught workshops at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Arts Educational , London Studio Centre, The International College of Musical Theatre and the Urdang Academy in London THE JOINVILLE DANCE FESTIVAL in BRAZIL and NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, The Growing Studio, Luigi's Jazz Centre, Manhattan Youth Ballet and the Open Jar Institute and Open Jar Studios in NYC
